Serie A club Udinese Calcio launch official mobile app for fans

By launching its official club app, Udinese has also joined the list of other elite Italian clubs like Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan.

Italian Serie A club Udinese Calcio, commonly referred to as Udinese has developed an app for its fans for the betterment of their club experience and connectivity. This mobile app designed in collaboration with the club’s marketing partner, Infront Media and Sports AG, aims to bring the global fanbase of the club to a single digital platform.

By launching its official club app, Udinese has also joined the list of other elite Italian clubs like Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan. AC Milan themselves launched a new version of their app a few years ago. The app launched by Udinese will be available to download on Apple and Google Play Store.

Gianluca Pizzamiglio, Udinese Calcio’s Marketing Director, expressed his views on this launch and said, “We’ve worked extensively with Infront to launch the new version of the Official Udinese Calcio App, the main aim of which is to forge an even closer relationship with Udinese fans in Italy and around the world. Over the coming weeks, fans will see plenty of new content and initiatives coming to the app. We will together find new ways for supporters to access digital content on match-days and during the week.”

Through this app, the fans of Udinese can stay connected throughout with the news surrounding the club. It will provide exclusive content for the users and give them a better insight into things happening off the field as well. A separate content creation team would be involved in producing and delivering great interactive content for the fans and make their experience of the app a rich one. News, galleries, stories about the players would be readily available on the club app. The fans will stay updated with the match results and league standing throughout the upcoming season and onwards.

In addition, the supporters would also get to vote for their player of the match in each Serie A, Copa Italia or any other game. The content team will also work on creating live fan engagement sections where they can interact with the players of the club, and take part in trivia sections based on the club’s history and achievements.

Stefano de Antoni, Marketing Director Infront Sports and Media AG, also addressed the press on the release of the app and said, “The launch of the new official Udinese Calcio app is further evidence of our efforts to help our partners to engage in ongoing, direct dialogue with their fan communities. This new version of the app includes features that will enhance the Udinese brand, providing fans with an intuitive and immediate experience as they access a range of club content.”

The club based out of Udine is all set to kick off its 2021-22 Serie A campaign against the Italian powerhouse Juventus, who themselves are looking to bounce back from last season’s disappointment of losing the title to Inter Milan. Following last season’s disappointing 14th place finish, Udinese will strive to have a better season this time.

The task will be much harder for them after they recently lost out on their captain and midfield maestro Rodrigo de Paul, following his €35m move to Spanish champions Atletico Madrid. The Argentine’s leadership and skillset will surely be missed.
