Scuderia AlphaTauri lands partnership with Buzz Group

As part of the deal, starting with the 2022 British Grand Prix in Silverstone, the AT03 cars will race in an updated livery that includes Buzz branding.

The Formula 1 team, Scuderia AlphaTauri has announced a multi-year partnership deal with Buzz Group, with the aim of stimulating sustainable development initiatives and supporting the development of young drivers.

Buzz Group has a passion for motorsports, technical innovation, and making a significant impact on the environment, so its newfound dedication to Formula 1 is a major milestone in its long-term strategic vision.

Daisuke Hasegawa, Buzz Group CEO, said, “We believe that all businesses, including motorsports, must drive positive environmental change to ensure the longevity of the planet and the health and happiness of its inhabitants. For Formula One to achieve net carbon neutrality by 2030, teams must separately and collectively contribute to this important goal. Scuderia AlphaTauri, with whom we enjoyed a previous partnership, is perfectly aligned in terms of the compatibility of motorsports and carbon neutrality, which makes them a perfect fit for Buzz. We are thrilled to realize this mission together.”

Aside from a deep interest in sustainable motorsport, the collaboration will concentrate on creating a healing environment in which promising young drivers can grow into future world champions.

As part of the deal, starting with the 2022 British Grand Prix in Silverstone, the AT03 cars will race in an updated livery that includes Buzz branding. The Buzz branding will appear on the car’s cockpit sides, headrests, and inside the rear wing end plates, along with racing suits, team wear, and different bits of the facility.

Yuki Tsunoda, commented, “I am excited to have another Japanese partner on board, especially as we are set to return to Suzuka for the first time since 2019, which will be also my first F1 race at home. Daisuke-San and Buzz are well known for their passion for racing and for working with promising young drivers, hence I am looking forward to cooperating with them throughout our team partnership.”

Scuderia AlphaTauri Team Principal, Franz Tost, said, “I am so happy to welcome Buzz and Daisuke back to our team. With active partnerships in different categories of motorsports, they are very focused on supporting young talent and hence are perfectly aligned with the ethos of Scuderia AlphaTauri. With their strong links to Japan, Buzz will help us to further grow our reputation in this specific local market. Their focus on a sustainable future is a great strategic fit for both the sport and our team, and we look forward to helping drive new conversations around this topic.”
