The Scottish Football Association (SFA), the governing body of football in Scotland, has announced a groundbreaking seven-figure deal with the UK-based software firm, HALO.
As per the deal, the brand has become the SFA’s official technology partner. The groundbreaking agreement, brokered by Scottish Football Marketing, is the first joint sponsorship between the Scottish FA, the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL), and the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL).
The three-year agreement will see IT help service HALO provide its best-in-class ITSM solutions and services to boost data capabilities and internal processes.
The agreement will also see the business’s logo appear on Scotland National Team training kit sleeves, and additionally in William Hill SPFL and ScottishPower Women’s Premier League games, along with the Premier Sports Cup and the SWPL’s Sky Sports Cup, via live, in-game analytics.
HALO’s dedication to sport is well-established, as title partner of the World Snooker Championship and significant sponsor of Ipswich Town FC.
Brendan Napier, Commercial Director of Scottish Football Marketing, said, “This first of its kind deal is hugely exciting for Scottish football and launching it with such an established business like HALO adds even more potential to this partnership. Paul Hamilton and his team are laser focused on a customer-first approach and are relentless in their pursuit of delivering world class products and services. We are looking forward to seeing the impact they will have on our ways of working and can’t wait to see their brand proudly displayed on our Scotland National Teams’ training sleeves.”
Paul Hamilton, HALO Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, said, “I’ve followed Scotland home and away since I was a kid, living every high and low with the team. To now be in a position where we can work with the SPFL, SWPL and the National Team is honestly beyond my wildest dreams. It’s a privilege and a responsibility we take seriously, to help Scottish football flourish for years to come.”
Ian Maxwell, Chief Executive of the Scottish FA, said, “It’s great to have HALO on board as the Official Technology Partner of the Scottish FA and we look forward to seeing their branding on the sleeve of our Scotland National team training kit. We welcome their expertise and support – not only in their enthusiastic backing of Scottish football but also in terms of bolstering our internal processes.”
Neil Doncaster, Group Chief Executive of the SPFL, said, “We are delighted to partner with HALO and look forward to their insights powering our live matches on Sky Sports and Premier Sports.”
