Saran extends Premier League rights in CIS countries

Saran Media Group will be broadcasting the league in the CIS countries.

Saran Media Group announced its broadcasting deal extension with the English top-flight, Premier League in 11 CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries for another three years.

The deal provides the Premier League broadcast through Saran in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Saran Media Group will be broadcasting the league in the CIS countries along with highlights and clips from every fixture across the three seasons.

Selim Usta, head of sports at Saran Media said, “We are proud of our broadcast partnership with the Premier League and excited to have extended the rights for another three years. Through the distribution of the Premier League broadcast across all of the 11 territories above, football fans will have the best possible viewing experience.”

Saran landed the broadcasting rights of the league after companies were asked to make their bids for the three-season and the six-season packages as Saran won the bid for the three-season package.

The new season of the Premier League kicked off on 14th August with Brentford beating Arsenal 2-0 in the first fixture of the season. Manchester United are currently leading the points table through goal difference after the first matchday.

Liverpool is scheduled to face Burnley on Saturday at 5 PM IST to commence the second week of the season, the game will be played at Anfield.
