The LALIGA and UEFA Champions League champions, Real Madrid CF have developed a three-year sponsorship agreement with a leading multinational health business group, Sanitas.
As part of the agreement, the healthcare business will be the club’s official medical provider until 2027. Both groups will also commemorate 25 years of health and achievement together.
President Florentino Pérez and CEO of Sanitas and Bupa ELA, Iñaki Peralta, addressed a gathering at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium to announce the renewal.
Since 2002, the health firm has acted as the club’s official medical provider. During this period, it has provided football and basketball teams with full healthcare services, top medical specialists and diagnostic tests. Along with this, the firm has provided the club with its latest technical and healthcare developments, putting the organisation at the forefront of sports medicine. The brand also get access to Blua, Sanitas’ digital health ecosystem, which provides digital services that encourage customised and accessible healthcare from anywhere.
Real Madrid’s Director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueño, commented, “This is a very special agreement as, at the end of this period, Real Madrid and Sanitas will celebrate 25 years of a historic partnership. At this point, I would like to emphasise something very important to us, namely the loyalty that is demonstrated by the signing of this agreement.”
On the deal, Iñaki Peralta said, “We share values with Real Madrid such as hard work, sportsmanship and the pursuit of excellence. That is why we strive to optimise the physical and mental performance of the best players in the world. We want the club to keep its place at the top of the sporting elite, supporting the health and wellbeing of athletes in their biggest challenges.”
Back in June, the Sanitas Foundation and the Real Madrid Foundation also renewed their relationship for another year, with the purpose of fostering inclusive sports beginning in childhood. This agreement has resulted in various inclusive football and basketball projects aimed at integrating children and young adults with diverse abilities into sports practice. Every season, more than 150 children and young people participate in these activities, in addition to those who have been involved since the alliance’s inception in 2009.
