Pocket FM, a leading audio series platform, has unveiled a playful banter video titled ‘Shaktimaan Returns’, which features Sania Mirza and Shikhar Dhawan in a humorous, slice-of-life interaction about comebacks, nostalgia, and the return of India’s most beloved superhero.

The entertaining social banter begins with Sania looking through her phone before dialling “Gabbar,” alias Shikhar Dhawan, which leads to a lively discussion about comebacks, age, and ambition. Shikhar, shown getting ready in his cricket kit, claims to be preparing for his ‘international comeback,’ as Sania taunts him with the retort, ‘Iss umar mein?’ What follows is a simple interaction filled with wit, self-awareness, and nostalgia, culminating in both admitting that some comebacks are only for superheroes.

Sania and Shikhar’s excellent chemistry adds warmth and humour to the writing, and their interaction sounds spontaneous. The punchline comes when they unveil Shaktimaan Returns, the revival of India’s most renowned superhero narrative, which is now streaming exclusively and for free on Pocket FM and is voiced by Mukesh Khanna, the original Shaktimaan.

Pocket FM’s decision to include Sania and Shikhar in the video seems planned yet fresh, with two sports giants reflecting on legacy and reinvention while relating to one of India’s most sentimental figures. The film strikes a mix between humour and heart, reminding viewers that pop culture, sports, and narrative all share a spirit of perseverance and nostalgia.

Vineet Singh, SVP and Head – Brand Marketing, Pocket FM, said, “This campaign is rooted in nostalgia but told with a modern attitude. Shaktimaan is part of our shared cultural memory. We wanted to bring that sentiment alive through two icons who represent resilience, self-belief, and the thrill of comebacks. Sania and Shikhar naturally embody that spirit. The humour and simplicity of their exchange makes the nostalgia relatable again, like a reminder that heroes, whether real or fictional, never really go away. They just find new ways to return.”
