The National Football League (NFL) team, San Francisco 49ers and Comcast Corporation, a cable television company, have announced a multi-year extension.
This renewed alliance will continue to enhance the fan experience at Levi’s Stadium and beyond.
As a founding partner of Levi’s Stadium, Comcast has been instrumental in delivering cutting-edge technology to enhance fan engagement. The renewed partnership sees Comcast continue high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the stadium, ensuring seamless connectivity for fans, media, and stadium staff.
Xfinity, Comcast’s consumer brand, has also expanded its presence at Levi’s Stadium. It has become the presenting sponsor of Gate A, the highest-trafficked entrance on game days, and the corresponding fan plaza. Additionally, Levi’s Stadium features in-stadium Wi-Fi presented by Xfinity, offering free high-speed internet in every location.
Commenting on the occasion, Kevin Hilton, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the 49ers, said, “Over the past 10 years, Comcast has played a major role in helping us make Levi’s® Stadium feel like home, which is why we couldn’t be more excited to solidify our partnership with them as a founding level partner. “Whether it’s fast and reliable stadium Wi-Fi or the Xfinity Gate A Plaza, fans will undoubtedly feel Comcast’s impact on the fan experience.”
David Tashjian, Regional Senior Vice President, Comcast California, added, “Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Levi’s® Stadium has consistently featured unique and exciting breakthroughs that enhance the fan experience at live events. Comcast could not be prouder that our technology is a centrepiece of those offerings – from ubiquitous ultra-fast Wi-Fi to innovative mobile applications and rich video content. This expanded partnership showcases Comcast’s reliable, high-capacity Internet connectivity for fans, media and stadium employees, all with an eye to enhancing Levi’s Stadium’s reputation as the area’s preferred, premier venue for live sporting and entertainment events.”
Matt Murphy, President and General Manager of NBC Sports Bay Area, expressed, “Our commitment to delivering comprehensive coverage of the San Francisco 49ers reflects our dedication to keeping the Faithful intimately connected to the team they love. As we continue our longstanding partnership with the 49ers, we are thrilled to ensure that every fan, whether watching from home or following on the go, has access to a wide array of exclusive content, including in-depth interviews, expert analysis, and authentic moments that capture the essence of the game, both on and off the field.”
