Sacramento Kings, a professional NBA team based in Sacramento, California, have entered a historic multi-year jersey patch partnership with Reviver, a pioneering digital license plate and connected vehicle technology company.

Reviver, the first Black-founded technology company to secure such a deal in the NBA, sees its logo prominently displayed on the left shoulder of Kings’ jerseys, this season. Beyond the jersey patch, the partnership has designated Reviver as an official innovation partner of the Kings and the Golden 1 Center, promising collaborative efforts in technology-driven advancements for the team and the Sacramento community.

Both the Kings and Reviver have committed to initiatives aimed at creating a lasting positive impact in the Sacramento area, particularly through programs centred on technology, innovation, and social responsibility.

Kings’ Owner and Chairman, Vivek Ranadivé, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration and said, “This jersey patch partnership with Reviver continues the Kings long tradition of using our global platform to promote innovation and technology. It’s particularly exciting to showcase a homegrown company that was part of our Kings Capitalize program. This is just the beginning of our work together, and we look forward to helping Reviver in its mission to modernize the driving experience.”

Reviver Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Neville Boston, added, “Teaming up with the Sacramento Kings as patch partner is an incredible opportunity for Reviver to champion innovation and diversity in technology. Both Reviver and the Kings share a forward-thinking mindset, constantly pushing the boundaries in our respective industries. This partnership allows us to amplify our brand nationally and highlight the importance of tech-driven solutions that reflect the diverse and dynamic communities we serve. Together, we’re proud to represent Sacramento’s future and its leadership in innovation.”

Black Star Fund Founding Managing Partner Kwame Anku, continued, “As an investment firm dedicated to hands-on business development to drive growth, we couldn’t be prouder to support our portfolio company, Reviver, and to have helped secure this ground-breaking partnership with the Sacramento Kings. This partnership is a testament to the power of collaboration, bringing together Sacramento-based businesses across multiple industries, all aligned in a shared mission to drive economic growth while supporting our vibrant community.”

Reviver, headquartered in Granite Bay, California, has revolutionised the traditional license plate with its innovative RPlate, a digital, connected solution that simplifies vehicle registration. The RPlate comes in a battery-powered version for everyday consumers and a hard-wired model designed to enhance fleet management for commercial businesses, all controlled through a mobile or web app.

As the Kings prepare to face Portland Trail Blazers tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. IST, followed by an away game against Utah Jazz on October 30 at 6:30 a.m. IST, this new partnership marks a step forward for the team and its commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and local engagement.
