Sachin Tendulkar to teach cricket online on Unacademy

This is the first cricket course devoted to teaching cricketers the art of batting.

The edtech platform, Unacademy has enabled all aspiring young cricketers to learn from Sachin Tendulkar, the icon himself. The master blaster will teach the fundamentals of the game in his first-ever cricket course.

Tendulkar, who made his Test debut against Pakistan in Karachi in November 1989, retired in November 2013 after playing his 200th Test match against the West Indies at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. He has captained India twice in his 24-year-old career.

Unacademy’s founder, Gaurav Munjal, tweeted on February 23, â€œIntroducing Unacademy Icons. A subscription where you can learn new skills from the very best, from the Icons. Our 1st Iconic Course is with the legendary @sachin_rt where he will teach the fundamentals of the game in his first-ever Cricket Course.” The video also includes the 48-year-old.

In the video, Sachin Tendulkar can be seen on the field with the crowd cheering for him; in the background, a voice can be heard encouraging his cricket shots such as cover drive and straight drive. Tendulkar also speaks to the audience, saying, “It’s time to bring all of my learnings to you, join me as I take you through the game of Cricket in my new series, Cricket with Sachin only on Unacademy, this time it’s me, Sachin Tendulkar, cheering for you, let’s crack the game.”

This is the first cricket course devoted to teaching cricketers the art of batting. Sachin will lead a series of live interactive classes that will be available for pre-booking for Unacademy’s 40 million students at a special price of Rs 299 for the entire year.
