Sachin Tendulkar teams up with Spinny as strategic investor and brand endorser

Spinny did not reveal the amount invested by Tendulkar in the company.

The former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has teamed up with the full stack online-to-offline user car retail platform, Spinny. The company said in a release on Tuesday that the Master-Blaster joins the brand as a strategic investor and lead brand endorser.

However, Spinny did not reveal the amount invested by the former Indian captain in the company.

The car retail company aims to inspire the youth of the country with performance, resilience and continuous improvement. Recently, Spinny became a unicorn after closing a USD 283 million Series-E round of funding. The round valued Spinny at around USD 1.8 billion.

Sachin Tendulkar, said, “Our country is becoming younger and our ambitions bigger. Entrepreneurs of today are creating solutions that cater to this ambition. Tendulkar is not the only sportsperson Spinny has partnered with. The company also inked an association with PV Sindhu earlier this year. Squad Spinny’s appointed captains will lead a series of marketing initiatives focused on realising the aspirations of a billion car dreams over the next year.
