Sachin Tendulkar becomes brand ambassador of JioCinema

Sachin Tendulkar will collaborate with JioCinema for multiple social media campaigns and initiatives.

One of the greatest players to ever hold a cricket bat, Sachin Tendulkar has become the newest brand ambassador of JioCinema.

In this development, the Master Blaster will collaborate with the OTT platform for multiple social media campaigns and initiatives to boost Viacom18‘s aim of making cricket viewing synonymous with digital streaming.

The platform said, “We are excited to announce that Sachin Tendulkar, the legendary Indian cricketer and global icon, is now the brand ambassador for JioCinema. With his unparalleled talent and dedication, Sachin has inspired millions worldwide. Now, as the face of JioCinema, he will help us spread the word about our streaming service and bring the magic of #IPLonJioCinema to even more viewers across India.”

The Indian OTT streaming service, JioCinema, owned by Viacom18, was unveiled on September 5, 2016. Prior to this, JioCinema also onboarded the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the star Mumbai Indians (MI) batter, Suryakumar Yadav as its brand ambassadors.

Last year in June, Viacom18 acquired digital rights for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023-28. Earlier this year, the Reliance-backed entity announced that cricket enthusiasts can enjoy IPL with several different and intriguing provisions.

The upcoming edition of the IPL is all set to kick-start on Friday, March 31 with the defending champions, Gujarat Titans (GT) taking on CSK at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
