Sachin Tendulkar has invested INR 3.6 crore in Hyderabad-based solar EPC company Truzon Solar, acquiring a 2 percent equity stake in the business as it looks to scale operations across India’s fast-growing rooftop and distributed solar market.
Truzon Solar, which operates under the Suntek Energy Systems umbrella, delivers end-to-end solar solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial segments, as well as ground-mounted and utility-scale projects. The company has built its model around full lifecycle ownership, covering project development, engineering, procurement, construction, and long-term operations and maintenance.
The fresh capital will be deployed to strengthen execution capacity, expand operational infrastructure, and support deeper penetration into commercial and industrial rooftop solar. Truzon Solar plans to consolidate its presence in core markets, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka, while accelerating expansion into high-growth states such as Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Kerala.
Charugundla Bhavani Suresh, Founder and Managing Director, Truzon Solar, said, “This partnership with Mr Sachin Tendulkar is more than an investment—it is a powerful validation of our values, governance, and long-term vision. His belief in Truzon Solar reinforces our commitment to building a trusted, scalable, and future-ready solar enterprise. Together, we aim to make clean energy a mainstream, responsible choice for homes, businesses, and industries across India.”
The investment comes at a time when rooftop and decentralised solar adoption is gaining momentum, driven by rising electricity tariffs, sustainability requirements from global supply chains, and increasing pressure on businesses to reduce operating costs. Commercial and industrial consumers, in particular, are emerging as a key growth engine for the sector.
Truzon Solar’s portfolio spans residential installations, C&I rooftop systems, large-scale EPC projects, PM-KUSUM agricultural solar deployments, and industrial CSG projects, supported by in-house operations and maintenance services.
India has set a target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030, positioning rooftop solar as a critical pillar of its clean energy transition. Tendulkar’s investment places Truzon Solar among a growing group of renewable energy companies attracting strategic capital as infrastructure-led climate businesses gain prominence in India’s energy landscape.
