Before the SA20 team, Sunrisers Eastern Cape could step on the field and showcase their talent, the unit is already off to a flying start on the commercial pitch.
The team based in Gqeberha is owned by the Sun Group, which also owns the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Sunrisers Eastern Cape will be captained by Aiden Markram with Adrian Birrell as the coach. One of the greatest pacers of all time, Dale Steyn has also joined the team as a bowling coach.

Title Sponsor:
Sunrisers Eastern Cape have appointed the UK-based company, Wolf777 News as their title sponsor. In this development, the branding of Wolf777 News will be featured on the front of the team’s jersey.
Other Sponsors:
The SA20 team signed an Indian multinational tyre manufacturing company, BKT Tires, as its official tire partner for the first-ever edition of the competition.
In this category, the Gqeberha-based team also gathered the sports apparel brand, Fain Sports Apparel, and the commercial radio station, Algoa FM.
Following these developments, the branding of Fain Sports Apparel will be seen on the trouser of the team’s playing outfit, while Algoa FM on the right sleeve.
On the field, the unit will kick off its inaugural SA20 campaign on Thursday, January 12 against Pretoria Capitals at 9 PM IST.
