Ryder Cup 2023 inks partnership with Hilton

Following the alliance, Hilton has been named the official worldwide partner of Ryder Cup 2023.

The biennial men’s golf competition between the teams from Europe and the United States, the Ryder Cup and PGA of America have announced a partnership with the American multinational hotel and hospitality chain, Hilton for Ryder Cup 2023.

Following the alliance, Hilton has been named the official worldwide partner of this premier golf event in 2023. This partnership not only strengthened the bond of the hospitality chain with the game, but it also lifted the position of the company from its previous rank as an official hotel supplier.

Through this deal, the American company will be given proper on-course branding at the tournament as well as on global television broadcasts, and it will also be sponsoring digital content campaigns on the tournament’s social media handle throughout 2023.

Through jointly developed, multi-channel marketing initiatives, Hilton will also gain visibility to a worldwide audience. The award-winning “A Stay on the Green by Hilton” experience, which has already proven to be incredibly popular at a few DP World Tour tournaments, will be introduced as a Ryder Cup edition by the hospitality entity, bringing its leading approach to delivering the most memorable stays.

Guy Kinnings, Ryder Cup Europe Director, said, “We know Hilton very well through our DP World Tour partnership, and we are delighted that they have decided to further elevate their association with the Ryder Cup. We have already worked together on award-winning marketing campaigns for the DP World Tour over the past 12 months, and the Ryder Cup, the pinnacle of drama and emotion in our sport, provides rich territory to further collaborate on campaigns that get people talking. The spectacular Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria Hotel will also be the base for both teams. Rome 2023 promises to be a historic event, and a partner of Hilton’s prestige will help us stage one of the best events yet.”

Jeff Price, Chief Commercial Officer of the PGA of America, stated, “We are thrilled that Hilton, the global leader in premium hospitality and service, has expanded its relationship with the Ryder Cup. By combining Hilton’s renowned hospitality expertise with the prestige of the Ryder Cup, we aim to deliver a world-class experience for golf enthusiasts at Marco Simone.”

Chris Silcock, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer of Hilton, said, “The Ryder Cup is one of the most exciting events in the global sporting calendar, and we are delighted to become a Worldwide Partner of the 2023 event. Through this industry-first partnership, Hilton will create once-in-a-lifetime experiences and showcase our leading and unique hospitality to players, staff, and Hilton Honours members.”

Founded on May 31, 1919, and headquartered in McLean, Virginia, United States, Hilton Hotels and Resorts is a worldwide brand of full-service hotels, resorts, and hospitality chains, with 584 hotels globally.
