RuPay Prime Volleyball League inks 13 sponsors for Season 1

The league kicks off on February 5 at Hyderabad's Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.

The volleyball fever is in the air as the most talented athletes prepare to light up the stage in the inaugural edition of the RuPay Prime Volleyball League (PVL). The volleyball league has received tremendous interest from a variety of brands, which have partnered with the competition as sponsors in a variety of categories.

RuPay, India’s first global card payment network, has signed as the league’s title sponsor, while the online gaming platform, A23 has been named as the league’s “powered by” sponsor in a multi-year deal.

Associate sponsors include the educational technology company, Byju’s, the fintech company, Cred, the sports news website, Dafa News, one of the largest healthy food platforms, EatFit, the nourishing drink Amul Kool, and the paint products manufacturing company, Nippon Paint. India’s domestic volleyball tournament’s sponsorship portfolio also includes the leading sports, fitness, and lifestyle brand, Cosco and the hospital chain, Apollo Hospitals.

ShareChat, India’s leading social media platform, and Moj, the short video app, have joined as the official content partners of the competition.

The competition will be aired on the Sony network, Sony Ten 1, Sony Ten 2, Sony Ten 3 (Hindi), and Sony Ten 4 (Tamil and Telugu). The league will also be streamed live on Sony’s OTT platform, SonyLIV.

In the league, seven franchises from seven different cities will compete for the trophy. The seven franchises are Calicut HeroesKochi Blue Spikers, Ahmedabad Defenders, Hyderabad Black Hawks, Chennai Blitz, Bengaluru Torpedoes, and Kolkata Thunderbolts. The league kicks off on February 5 at Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.
