The premier international team competition in women’s tennis, the Billie Jean King Cup has announced a landmark partnership with the Swiss watchmaker, Rolex.
With this deal, the Swiss watchmaker has become the official timekeeper of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals 2025.
This association brings together two famous groups with a shared tradition of distinction: the BJK Cup, women’s tennis’ highest-profile team competition, and Rolex, a brand synonymous with human endeavour and sporting heritage.
As part of the agreement, Rolex will keep time on the tournament, as it has done in tennis for over 50 years, by bringing its world-renowned watches to the event, including courtside, in the fan zone, and on the wrists of several of the top players.
The collaboration will also launch the Rolex Timing Moment, a new element that will highlight crucial match-defining moments throughout the Finals, celebrating the accuracy and outstanding performances that are at the core of women’s team tennis.
Kerstin Lutz, CEO of Billie Jean King Cup Limited, said, “Rolex is synonymous with excellence, tradition, and class, making them a perfect partner for the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals and we are immensely proud to welcome them to the women’s World Cup of Tennis. Their commitment to women’s sport and international tennis perfectly aligns with our mission to elevate the competition and provide players and fans with a world-class experience. The Rolex Timing Moment will bring new energy to the Finals, capturing the precision and emotion that define this tournament.”
Rolex and tennis have a long history, dating back nearly 50 years to 1978, when the Swiss wristwatch first served as Official Timekeeper for The Wimbledon. Since then, Rolex has continued to encourage greatness in the men’s and women’s game at the world’s most important championships.
The collaboration with the BJK Cup Finals is more than simply precise timing; it is about creating moments that define national pride and athletic prowess. The Finals in Shenzhen will be a strong venue for these moments, and we are happy to highlight them in a way that connects with fans all across the world.
The 2025 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals will be held in the Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre Arena in China from September 16 to 21, with eight of the world’s best national teams competing for women’s tennis’ most coveted team trophy.
