Rohit Sharma has used art to interact with the world over the years.

Rohit Sharma has announced the release of his first personal NFT, which will be available on FanCraze soon. The NFT includes a Rhino artwork as well as an autographed image of Rohit. The Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper has consistently advocated for environmental and social causes. This NFT promotes the conservation of the Great One-Horned Rhinoceros.

Rohit Sharma, said, “It is special for me to take a cause so close to my heart into newer mediums to raise awareness. We all need to work towards leaving a better world behind, and the NFT with FanCraze will give fans the opportunity to own unique artwork and spread the word around the “#Rohit4Rhinos’ campaign.

Anshum Bhambri, CEO of FanCraze, commented, “FanCraze is excited to debut its collection of Player NFTs with Rohit Sharma as he sets the benchmark for cricket fans to engage with the next generation of sports-based assets and experiences. It is remarkable that, with his first personal NFT, Rohit is leveraging this disruptive product to create awareness for the ‘Rohit4Rhinos’ campaign. This is just the beginning of what is possible if one combines creators, content, and commerce.”

FanCraze is developing the official cricket NFT ecosystem, which will allow fans to collect cricket NFTs, participate in play-to-earn games and utilities, and own digital land. While still in early beta, FanCraze’s global market went live in February and has already generated millions in revenue. The International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket West Indies (CWI), and a number of yet-to-be-announced marquee teams, leagues, and cricket stars are among the company’s current partners, giving the company an NFT portfolio of over 20,000 cricketers.

The Indian captain has used art to interact with the world over the years. The 35-year-old has been resolute in supporting and empowering the world to do more, from wearing purpose-built shoes featuring artwork to social media.

In 2015, Rohit Sharma launched the ‘Rohit4Rhinos’ campaign in collaboration with WWF India and Animal Planet. In the past, the star Indian batsman has taken an unusual approach to raise awareness about the issue, wearing shoes with the message ‘Save the Rhino’ in his team’s IPL 2021 opener.
