On the occasion of his 39th birthday, Indian cricket team icon Rohit Sharma has transitioned from brand ambassador to entrepreneur with the launch of hydRo365, a high-performance hydration and sports nutrition brand.

The venture marks a significant move for the Mumbai Indians star, signalling his entry into a domestic wellness market that is increasingly hungry for clean-label, athlete-backed products.

While many hydration products cater exclusively to high-intensity athletes, hydRo365 is positioned as a lifestyle essential. The brand’s core philosophy is built on the premise that water alone is often insufficient for the physiological demands of the Indian climate and modern professional life.

Rohit Sharma said, “Heat, humidity, long days – that’s not just cricket, that’s India. I designed daily hydration that actually works for Indians, on and off the field.”

The flagship offering is a powdered electrolyte blend designed for convenient daily consumption. Each serving includes six essential electrolytes, along with Vitamin C, zinc, B vitamins, and L-theanine. The formulation is sweetened using monk fruit, aligning with the broader consumer shift toward low-sugar and clean-label nutrition products.

The debut of hydRo365 reflects a broader strategic shift among global sporting elites. By leveraging his personal brand, popularly known as “The Hitman”, Sharma aims to build long-term value in the FMCG sector.

The Indian hydration and sports nutrition market has seen significant momentum in recent years, driven by increased fitness awareness and post-pandemic health consciousness. hydRo365 will compete with established players, while also targeting a broader consumer base that extends beyond athletes to include urban professionals and students.

Sharma, who is currently leading the charge for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, appears to be playing a long game, ensuring his legacy extends well beyond the boundary ropes.
