In a significant stride towards environmental responsibility, REVO International Inc., a pioneer in biofuel production, has been named an official event supplier of liquid biofuels for the upcoming World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (WCH Tokyo 25).
This partnership highlights the championships’ deep commitment to sustainability and its ambitious “Tokyo Model” for future global sporting events.
Under the agreement, REVO International will supply its advanced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), uniquely derived from recycled used cooking oil sourced across Japan. Additionally, its long-established biodiesel fuel, “C-FUEL,” will be utilized. This collaboration is a cornerstone of WCH Tokyo 25’s comprehensive sustainability plan, aiming to set a new global benchmark for environmental stewardship in sports.
The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for WCH Tokyo 25 has embedded sustainability into its core Master Plan, envisioning an event that offers “Giving hope for tomorrow and developing steps towards a sustainable future.” REVO International’s expertise in converting waste into valuable energy resources perfectly aligns with this vision, actively fostering a circular economy model.

The World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25, featuring over 2,000 athletes from approximately 200 countries, will take place from September 13 to 21, 2025, at the Japan National Stadium. This marks Tokyo’s second time hosting the prestigious event since 1991. With the motto “Every second, SUGOI,” the championships aspire to inspire and transcend boundaries.
