Cricket South Africa has announced a new commercial partnership with Red Bull, appointing the global energy drink brand as its official energy drink supplier.

The agreement sees Red Bull support South Africa’s national cricket teams and high-performance programmes, including the Proteas Men, Proteas Women, and selected development and pathway squads. The partnership is aimed at enhancing elite performance environments while contributing to Cricket South Africa’s broader commercial and growth strategy.

Under the terms of the deal, Red Bull will supply its energy drink portfolio across training camps, high-performance centres and matchday operations. The brand will also receive integrated visibility across team environments, digital platforms and selected domestic and international cricket events.

CSA Chief Executive Officer, Pholetsi Moseki, said, “CSA is delighted to welcome Red Bull as our Official Energy Supplier. Red Bull’s brand ethos is aligned with our vision as South African cricket. This partnership goes beyond product supply; it’s about creating an environment where our players are supported to push boundaries, seize big moments and inspire fans. Red Bull’s strong local focus and commitment to empowering talent make them an ideal partner for us as we continue to grow the game at all levels.”

Guided by its global mission to give wings to people and ideas, Red Bull focuses on building high-performance environments that enable individuals and teams to unlock potential and perform at their best.

For Red Bull, the partnership further strengthens its footprint in international cricket, a sport that delivers year-round engagement, a growing youth audience and significant cultural relevance across key global markets. The brand is widely recognised for integrating deeply into elite sport through a focus on athlete culture, training and performance storytelling rather than traditional sponsorship exposure alone.

The collaboration will also include digital content initiatives and fan engagement activations, offering behind-the-scenes insights into training and preparation, alongside performance-led narratives centred on endurance, recovery and high-pressure moments.

The agreement adds to Cricket South Africa’s expanding portfolio of commercial partnerships as the governing body continues to stabilise and diversify its revenue streams while supporting both men’s and women’s cricket.

Red Bull’s appointment as official energy drink supplier marks another step in Cricket South Africa’s efforts to align with globally scalable brands that reflect the modern, high-performance direction of the sport.
