The English Football club, Leeds United have announced a significant long-term extension of their partnership with the global sportswear leader, adidas, a collaboration that has become a staple of the club’s identity.
This renewed partnership sees adidas continue to design and produce the official playing and training kits for all Leeds United teams, cementing an ongoing alliance that has proven to resonate strongly with fans.
The extension comes on the heels of the record-breaking launch of the 2024/25 away kit, which saw an impressive 15,000 shirts sold within the first day of release. The phenomenal demand for this new kit underscores both the strong fan support for Leeds United and the popularity of its association with adidas.
As part of the extended agreement, Leeds United and adidas are committed to developing innovative, high-performance kits that not only elevate player capabilities but also captivate fans worldwide. This partnership aims to push the boundaries of design, performance, and style, with a shared goal of inspiring and engaging audiences across the globe.
Christopher Walsh, Vice President of Brand at adidas, expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed collaboration and said, “We are thrilled to extend our successful partnership with Leeds United. Leeds United is a club with a rich history and a passionate fan base, and we are proud to be a part of their journey.
“We look forward to creating more iconic kits and apparel that excites and energises fans both in the UK and around the world. Together, we will continue pushing boundaries in performance, style, and innovation on and off the pitch.”
Morrie Eisenberg, Chief Operating Officer at Leeds United, added, “Everyone at the club is incredibly excited that we have extended our partnership with adidas.
“We have built such a strong relationship over the last few seasons, and it is great that we can now continue collaborating with the fantastic team at adidas.
“The brand is one of the most recognisable names in sport, and we have really enjoyed working alongside them on not only kit designs and launches but also limited-edition ranges such as Originals and the recently released Spezials range.”
A leader in sports innovation since the 1950s, adidas has established itself as a top brand in global football, partnering with elite teams and organisations worldwide, including UEFA, the Argentine Football Association, Eintracht Frankfurt, Como 1907, AFC Ajax, Al Nassr FC and Aston Villa FC. This alliance with Leeds United further reinforces adidas’s dedication to supporting football at all levels.
In addition to adidas, Leeds United have recently secured commercial agreements with brands like Flamingo Land and Red Bull, strengthening their commercial portfolio and commitment to growth.
With this renewed collaboration, Leeds United are poised to further enhance their global reach and fan engagement, building on their strong performance in the EFL Championship. After finishing third last season, narrowly missing promotion, Leeds has started the current season on a high note, securing six wins, five draws, and just one loss, positioning them in third place with 23 points. The team is set to face Plymouth Argyle FC in an important match tonight.
