Real Sociedad team up with Chiliz to launch official fan tokens

The $RSO token will allow fans to connect and interact with the club while also receiving unique deals and discounts.

The LaLiga club, Real Sociedad have announced a partnership with the global blockchain provider firm, Chiliz to launch fan tokens.

Chiliz is the world’s premier blockchain service for the sports and entertainment industries. The firm employs almost 300 people and has regional offices in Madrid, London, Sao Paulo, Istanbul, Miami, Malta, and Lyon.

As per the deal, the club will launch its official fan token $RSO on Socios.com and online applications. The $RSO token will allow fans to connect and interact with the club while also receiving unique deals and discounts on the fan engagement platform.

Socios.com is a blockchain-powered web marketplace that allows users to purchase and exchange officially licenced fan tokens for their favourite sports teams. The platform is based around the Chiliz (CHZ) token.

Over the years, Socios has associated with some of the elite football clubs around the world. The list includes FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Manchester City.
