Real Madrid to sign Eduardo Camavinga

Fabrizio Romano confirms a deal is about to be signed.

Real Madrid has reportedly landed a transfer deal for the French youngster Eduardo Camavinga who has been on the club’s radar for years.

The young prodigy has been an outstanding player for Stade Rennais F.C. in the Ligue 1 and will solve the midfield issues for Real Madrid.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Camavinga would join Real Madrid for €30 million once the particulars are finalised and the deal becomes official.

Even if the reports say that the deal is not confirmed yet and the final discussions are ongoing, Eduardo’s contract expires in 2022 and he has resisted extending his contract with Rennais which makes it clear that the Spanish club has both money and an opportunity to sign him either now or next season.

Real Madrid has been keen to sign the youngster back since 2019 and Zinedine Zidane was a huge admirer of the French Prodigy.

Camavinga is someone who loves to take the control of the game from the midfield, his exceptional tackles have helped him average a total of 2.8 tackles and 0.7 interceptions per game. He will be looking forward to helping Carlos Casemiro in the central defensive role as there is currently no other player to play the role and Casemiro had to tirelessly play almost all the games last season.

Luka Modric, the club’s backbone of the midfield will mostly leave the club after the current season and Camavinga has the perfect opportunity to take control of Real Madrid’s midfield along with Toni Kroos and Fede Valverde.

These several playing positions and his quality with the ball have helped Eduardo to make his mark in top-class football at such a young age. Along with that now he has a chance of playing for one of the biggest clubs in Europe and also the French national team.
