RCB vs CSK encounter shatters all viewership records; concurrent viewership touches 2.4 Cr on JioCinema

JioCinema shattered its previous records, as it clocked concurrent viewership of 2.4 cr, leaving behind the latest record of 2.2 cr during the CSK vs RR match.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023’s official digital streaming partner, JioCinema outdid itself in terms of clocking the highest concurrent viewership during the southern derby, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Bengaluru last night.

The OTT platform shattered all previous records, as it clocked concurrent viewership of 2.4 cr, leaving behind the latest record of 2.2 cr during the CSK vs RR match. The number touched at that point when the Chennai-based outfit incurred an eight-run win against RCB.

These viewership statistics of the tournament’s digital partner are way higher than Disney+ Hotstar when it had the streaming rights of the league. The early clashes of the marquee league on the JioCinema are doing a great job in terms of numbers as compared to the final encounters of the past on the previous digital partner.

As the current digital streaming partner provides live streaming of the matches on a free basis, it has added millions of new viewers to the Indian T20 league on a daily basis.

It was highly anticipated by many people that all viewership records will be broken during this much-awaited South Indian derby clash, as the two Indian cricketing stalwarts – Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni were facing off, maybe for the one last time, and the fans were already looking forward to the contest before the commencement of the game.
