RCB launch Programme to develop young players

Royal Challenger Bangalore has come up with a unique Mentorship Programme to help groom the talent within their squad. As a part of the initiative, every RCB cricketer is paired with a young player from the team, giving each other an opportunity to learn and improve their game.

The new programme is introduced by RCB Head coach Simon Katich. This concept is very much familiar in other sports, every player is paired with a youngster. In this way, young players develop under the guidance of established stars.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is paired with Devdutt Paddikal, while Navdeep Saini is paired with South African veteran Dale Steyn. Kohli and Steyn are world-class cricketers, so Paddikal and Saini will learn a lot by spending time with them during IPL 2020.

The team has got off to a decent start in IPL 2020, registering two wins in three matches. The new concept can surely change the fortunes for them and can generate fruitful results in coming matches. RCB is all set to play against RR at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, October 3.
