The Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig, have strengthened their international commercial portfolio after announcing IC as the new sleeve partner of their men’s first team, marking another step in the club’s strategy to align with globally recognised brands ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The agreement will see IC’s branding feature on the sleeve of the club’s men’s first-team playing shirts across domestic and international competitions. While the financial terms and duration of the partnership remain undisclosed, the collaboration grants the company a premium branding platform through one of Germany’s leading football clubs and further enhances RB Leipzig’s expanding network of international commercial partners.
In addition to matchday branding, the partnership is expected to encompass a comprehensive package of commercial rights, including digital and social media activations, hospitality experiences, club branding opportunities and collaborative marketing campaigns aimed at engaging supporters across key international markets.
The agreement underlines RB Leipzig’s continued focus on attracting global partners that share the club’s ambitions for innovation, international growth and long-term collaboration.
Johann Plenge, Managing Director (CBO) of RB Leipzig, said, “RB Leipzig is driven by innovation and a constant desire to keep moving forward. In IC, we have gained a highly successful global partner that shares these values and is an ideal fit for our ambitions. What particularly impressed us was our shared vision of developing the partnership over the long term and breaking new ground together, both in the way we engage with our fans and in our international activities.”
Kleanthis Rousakis, Executive Director, IC Markets (EU) Ltd, added, “We’re delighted to become part of the RB Leipzig family. The club has established itself as a major force in European football through its clear vision, high standards and strong international profile. Those qualities also reflect what we stand for at IC.
“Our mission is to provide our clients with a transparent, technology-driven and high-performance environment through which they can access international financial markets. We also believe in making financial knowledge more accessible and helping people develop a better understanding of financial markets and responsible investing.
“Together with RB Leipzig, we want to develop innovative digital formats, create relevant content and offer fans exciting new experiences. We see this partnership as a long-term investment in a shared future.”
The partnership reflects a wider trend across European football, where sleeve sponsorships have evolved into high-value commercial assets, offering brands year-round visibility through broadcast exposure, digital engagement and retail merchandise. For RB Leipzig, the agreement further reinforces their commercial strategy of building a diverse international sponsorship portfolio spanning sectors such as financial services, technology, hospitality and mobility, while continuing to enhance its global brand presence on and off the pitch.
