Raphael Varane is close to signing contract with Manchester United

Varane has been a key part of Real Madrid’s squad since 2011 has proved himself to be one of the best central defenders in the world.

Real Madrid and France centre back Raphael Varane is close to joining English giants Manchester United and have made a contract proposal to the player until 2026.

Varane has been a key part of Real Madrid’s squad since 2011 has proved himself to be one of the best central defenders in the world. Varane’s contract with Spanish heavyweights will expire next year in 2022.

The 28-year-old currently wants to move out from the club and aspires for a new challenge in his life. He desperately wants to play in Premier League and Manchester United will do anything to bring the player to Old Trafford.

Los Blancos president Fiorentino Perez wouldn’t want to sell their star centre back for free next season and if the player wants to opt-out then the club will sell him for a hefty price.

This news comes after the transfer of Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos to PSG and if Varane departs this summer then Perez will have a huge void in the centre back position. Madrid have also signed Austrian and Bayern Munich defender David Alaba but now it looks like the player has to make an instant impact at his new club.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have also signed Borrusia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho for a whopping €90 million-plus add ons.

Both the clubs are currently in direct talks regarding the transfer of the Frenchman and it is also reported that personal terms are agreed and the World Cup winner is pretty much attracted to the project at Old Trafford.

Madrid is also said to be making necessary funds for the Kylian Mbappe project.
