The Scottish professional football club, Rangers FC have strengthened their agreement with the data intelligence company, Kitman Labs.
With this announcement, the Light Blues will continue to use performance medicine, performance optimisation, and coaching & development solutions in iP—integrating medical, performance, coaching, and talent development information in one unified system. This will be done to bring together the entire team from the academy to the first team, promote player well-being and performance outcomes, and notify talent growth plans throughout the entire football club
The Kitman Labs Coaching & Development Solution will also provide Rangers with total visibility into their talent pipeline, as well as assistance with strategic planning when promoting new academy players to the men’s and women’s first teams. The platform’s functionality and analytical capabilities will enable the club to improve players, discover potential earlier in the learning cycle, and ensure better succession planning. Furthermore, the technology will assist the club to expedite its talent development pipeline and more effectively prepare players for the demands of the first squad.
This extension also makes sure that all practitioners and stakeholders throughout the club have access to the resources needed to produce the understanding and intelligence required to support real-time, informed choices, as well as a single, shared source of truth to power collaboration and communication within all disciplines and departments.
Rangers FC’s Director of Football Operations, Creag Robertson, said, “The Kitman Labs technology and team have been integral in generating the actionable insights needed to help us achieve our performance outcomes and make more informed, evidence-based decisions on and off the pitch. We are excited to now roll out the Intelligence Platform to the entire men’s and women’s senior and academy teams. By unifying our data in a single platform, we now have a clear line of sight into player development and progression and can monitor progress across the club – creating and optimising talent pathways that will ultimately benefit the club for seasons to come.”
Stephen Smith, CEO and Founder of Kitman Labs, said, “We are extremely proud of our partnership with Rangers FC, one of the most successful and historic clubs in global football. The Club has been at the cutting edge of utilising data and data science to advance player health and performance outcomes for a number of years.
