PUMA, the global sportswear brand, has appointed Ramprasad Sridharan as the new Managing Director of PUMA India. He will begin his role in December 2025 and report directly to PUMA Chief Commercial Officer Matthias Bäumer.
Sridharan has over 25 years of brand creation expertise in the Asia Pacific area, including digital expansion and commercial strategy. He most recently served as CEO and Managing Director of United Colors of Benetton India, where he oversaw large-scale restructuring efforts.
Prior to joining United Colors of Benetton India, Sridharan held top leadership positions in Clarks and Reebok India. His career has been distinguished by a strong concentration on developing a solid commercial strategy, with a particular emphasis on leadership, organisational development, driving change and transformation, and cultivating high-performance work cultures.
PUMA Chief Commercial Officer Matthias Bäumer, said, “Ram is a highly experienced leader with a strong track record in the fashion and footwear industry. Sridharan succeeds Karthik Balagopalan, who opted to explore other interests outside of the firm.
