Rakuten, Warriors prolong their association

As part of their ongoing partnership, a Rakuten executive will enter the Warriors Community Foundation's Board of Directors .

The Golden State Warriors and Rakuten Group have prolonged their long-term collaboration, keeping the latter as the official jersey badge sponsor. The Warriors jersey badge has been such a crucial contribution to Rakuten’s extraordinary increase in brand awareness in the United States over the last five seasons.

Rakuten’s emblem will continue to display as a badge on all Warriors jerseys under the new extended timeframe, as it has since 2017 when Rakuten became the Warriors’ first-ever jersey badge sponsor.

Enhanced Rakuten signage at Chase Center, as well as new online, social, radio, and live promotional campaigns, including as the presenting sponsor of game-day player appearances on the ‘Rakuten Runway,’ will be part of the extension. Rakuten will be prominently displayed in-game coverage and at the Warriors retail outlet, in addition to Chase Center.

Including exclusive clothing cooperation and collaboration and exceptional shopping experiences, Rakuten will continue to be involved in Warriors jersey platforms and releases. Gameday goods and Rakuten-exclusive promos for specialized Warriors gear and apparel are also on the horizon.

As part of their ongoing partnership, a Rakuten executive will enter the Warriors Community Foundation’s Board of Directors to engage in academic equality efforts in the Sf Bay Area. Rakuten previously collaborated with the Foundation on initiatives like restoring basketball courts at McClymonds High School in Oakland and City of Dreams in San Francisco.
