Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar has partnered with Indian mechanical watchmaker ROTORIS ahead of the Indian Premier League 2026 playoffs, with the collaboration positioning the brand around themes of resilience, patience, and long-term craftsmanship.
The partnership sees Patidar front ROTORIS’ latest campaign, titled “A ROTORIS Man”, which connects the cricketer’s unconventional rise in Indian cricket with the company’s philosophy of precision, endurance, and sustained growth over instant success.
The timing of the announcement arrives during a defining phase in Patidar’s career. After leading the Royal Challengers to the franchise’s long-awaited maiden IPL title in 2025, the right-hander now enters another playoff campaign as one of the emerging leadership faces of Indian cricket.
Patidar’s journey has become one of the IPL’s most notable modern success stories. Initially going unsold at auction before returning to the league as a replacement player, he transformed his career trajectory through consistent performances, including a breakthrough playoff century that cemented his place within the franchise setup. His eventual rise to captaincy has since strengthened his commercial appeal beyond traditional Indian cricket superstars.
Speaking about the association, Rajat Patidar, Captain, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, said, “I never needed the shortest path. I needed the right one. There were years when nobody was watching, and those were the years that built everything that came after. ROTORIS speaks the same language. Every timepiece they make carries the weight of something done the right way, not the fast way. That is why this feels true. Not just to a campaign or a season, but to something that actually lasts.”
Aakash Anand, Founder, ROTORIS, added, “We built ROTORIS for a very specific kind of person. Someone who is always becoming more. Rajat Patidar was released by the same franchise that would one day make him captain. He came back and gave them a title they had waited 18 years for. If that is not a ROTORIS Man, nothing is.”
Prerna Gupta, Co-Founder, ROTORIS, continued, “ROTORIS has always believed that the most beautiful things take time. You can see it in every dial we design. Rajat’s story is the most human version of that belief. He did not rush. He did not break. He kept going, and he arrived exactly where he was always meant to be.”
The collaboration also reflects the growing commercial value of IPL captains and next-generation Indian cricket personalities, particularly those building strong narratives around leadership, perseverance, and relatability.
ROTORIS has continued expanding its sports and cultural ambassador portfolio in recent months. Alongside Patidar, the brand has also partnered with Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel and Punjab Kings fast bowler Arshdeep Singh. Its wider “ROTORIS Circle” includes personalities from business, entertainment, motorsport, and sport, such as Raj Shamani, Vivek Oberoi, Priyansh Arya, Nikhil Kamath, Kush Maini, and Sumit Nagal.
For ROTORIS, the association provides high-value visibility during the IPL playoffs, widely regarded as one of the most commercially lucrative windows in Indian sport due to massive television audiences, digital consumption, sponsor integration, and fan engagement across platforms.
