Rajasthan Royals set to launch Cricket Academy in UAE

Rajasthan Royals (RR) is all set to launch its Cricket Academy in UAE, first in the Middle-East and second globally. The academy is another step taken by the franchise in establishing its global presence as a cricketing brand and its commitment towards discovering talent, harnessing potential and promoting the sport around the world. 

The Rajasthan Royals’ UAE Cricket Academy will be officially launched on 12th October 2020 at The Sevens Stadium. The academy is operated in partnership with UAE-based sports consulting firm RedBear Sports, and will provide platform to boys and girls of age group 6 to 19 years with world class coaching facility and also having option of selecting personalised sessions, team or group sessions. All the sessions will take place under the guidance of Academy Director and former Zimbabwe captain, Graeme Cremer and his highly qualified coaching team.

The Sevens Stadium facility is popularly known for hosting the Emirates Airline Rugby 7s alongside its world-class Cricket facilities. The venue boasts three world-class ovals, two of which are floodlit, 6 floodlit turf nets and fully equipped changing rooms of the highest standards, suitable for participants of all ages. The facilities are of high International standards and have been often used by visiting teams to UAE. IPL team, Rajasthan Royals also used the same facility for their training and preparation ahead of Dream11 IPL 2020.

RR is one of the first teams to invest into grassroots development of the sport. They already have one academy in UK with the presence in India too. The team also conducts women’s training camp for all the budding female cricketers in India.

With the opening of second academy, RR is committed towards the grooming of young talent and providing them a platform to showcase their skills and potential. UAE being the modern hub for Cricket, it’ll also help them grow as a brand and increase their presence globally.
