In the inaugural season of the Prime Volleyball League (PVL), Kolkata Thunderbolts have been one of the teams that have gathered some robust commercial deals.
The franchise is owned by the managing director of Pulkit Veneer Mills Private Limited, Pawan Kumar Patodia and managing partner of SPINX Capital, Vineet Bhandari. The Kolkata-based team would aim to win the upcoming edition under the leadership of the notable volleyball player, Ashwal Rai.
Kolkata Thunderbolts have signed numerous lucrative deals to build their brand value and sponsorship portfolio. With key partnerships, the team has also enhanced its brand recognition and marketing.
The team inked an association with the brand developer, PromotEdge. Through this collaboration, PromotEdge will look after the business decisions of the franchise while also facilitating its branding and digital outreach.
Followed by this, the agency teamed up with the media network, Radio Mirchi and appointed the organisation as the Official Entertainment Partner. In addition to this, the franchise brought in the emerging brand, Travel Delights as their Official Travel Partner and the nutrition supplement firm, Soulfuel as their Official Nutrition Partner.
As the tournament came close, the team continued its smart sponsorship signings. They partnered with an online media unit, The Telegraph My Kolkata and announced them as the Offical Digital Media Partner. With this, the franchise also joined hands with the global sports brand, Decathlon and the media network, DafaNews.
Kolkata Thunderbolts also held ties with the clothing brand, Dos and announced the firm as the Offical Kitting Partner ahead of the PVL 2022. To further elate their stance, the team penned down deals with Austin Plywood and fan manufacturer, Polar. The franchise named both the entities as their Associate Sponsors.
