PUMA India recruits Pradhdeep S Bedi to lead the e-commerce department

This high profile appointment was revealed by Abhishek Ganguly, who is the Managing Director of PUMA India and Southeast Asia.

German sportswear manufacturing company PUMA is the third-largest sports manufacturer in the world. It provides performance and sport-inspired lifestyle products in various categories such as football, running and training, basketball, golf, amongst others.

And recently its Indian agency, PUMA India announced the appointment of Prabhdeep S Bedi as its Director and Head of D2C e-commerce in the country. This appointment came in intending to further transform the company’s digital unit and marketing strategies. Prabhdeep will be tasked with the company’s business through the e-commerce sector, where he would be expected to devise new modes of consumer-friendly policies and bring up fresh ideas for the catalogues. Also, look into the existing technology and account management.

Following the announcement, Pradhdeep S Bedi was extremely thrilled with this opportunity, sharing his thoughts on the new role he said, “It’s commendable to see how PUMA has strengthened its foothold in the Indian market in such a short span. Prabhdeep, who has been in the marketing industry for more than a decade, 13 years to be precise, has richly deserved this groundbreaking opportunity with the PUMA Group. He started in 2009 with Procter and Gamble Group in the FMCG sector, as Associate Manager and was further promoted to Department Manager. Following his 4-year stint with them, he moved to Chicago and joined a global business consulting firm Mckinsey & Company, as their Engagement Manager.

Another 5-year span with Toppr Technologies Pvt Ltd as the Chief Operating Officer followed his tenure in Chicago. Therefore, have a lot of diverse experience, command and knowledge of the sector before making the all-important jump to the PUMA Group.

This high profile appointment was revealed by Abhishek Ganguly, who is the Managing Director of PUMA India and Southeast Asia.

Upon this hierarchical appointment, Ganguly shared his views with the media and added, “Prabhdeep brings a strong track record of driving growth-oriented strategies. With the market gaining importance digitally and other competing brands improving drastically, Prabhdeep will have his work cut out in trying to come up with inventive ways to keep PUMA amongst the top brands in such a diverse market as India.
