The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), Visit Qatar, World Triathlon, and Qatar Triathlon Federation have inked a five-year pact for the T100 World Tour Final.
As per the pact, the upcoming five finals of the T100 Triathlon World Tour series will be played in Qatar. Via an association between the bodies, the 2025 edition will take place in Doha from December 11 to 13. In addition, following the development, the final will also be called the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final.
The maiden season of the tournament was played in the previous year in Dubai and the competition commenced in January 2024 as a JV between the World Triathlon and PTO.
Sam Renouf, Chief Executive at the PTO, said, “We’ve been very clear with our strategy for the T100 Triathlon World Tour to visit iconic locations, along with our desire to position the series as a race to one ‘hero’ destination, as happens in many other professional sports.”
He added, “This five-year partnership with Visit Qatar allows us to do exactly that, with the season-long series now being known as the T100 Race to Qatar in one of the fastest growing, family-friendly, tourist destinations in the world.”
The PTO was established in 2014 with the collaboration of a funding pact with venture capitalist Michael Moritz in 2020. In October 2024, the PTO enhanced its association with the UK-based sports marketing agency, Two Circles, which is now in command of selling the T100 Triathlon World Tour’s sponsorship rights.
The 2025 edition of the competition will kick off in Singapore in April and contain nine races. The tournament will be visiting locations such as Dubai, Las Vegas, London, Vancouver, and San Francisco before the Qatar Finale.
