Six seasons of the PSL have been played so far with the seventh edition starting from January 27.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a professional T20 cricket league launched by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to mark their entry into the growing concept of the T20 franchise cricket. The league was founded back in 2015 as a total of five teams participated in the inaugural season of the PSL in 2016.

The league then expanded to six teams in 2017 as Multan Sultans made its first appearance in the third season of the PSL. Each of the teams initially plays the group stage matches in a double round-robin format, following which the top four teams with the most points qualify for the playoffs, and eventually, two teams winning in the playoffs meet in the finals.
