Karachi Kings is a professional T20 cricket franchise that competes in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team is based in Karachi and was founded back in 2015 making its first appearance in the debut season of the PSL. The franchise is owned by ARY Media Group and plays its home matches in the National Stadium, Karachi.
In the very first season of the PSL, Karachi Kings managed to finish fourth in the league table and then qualify for the play-offs. But they exited the tournament after a defeat against the eventual season one winners, Islamabad United in the qualifiers.
The Karachi-based franchise lifted their maiden title in 2020 after defeating Lahore Qalandars by five wickets in the final. While in the last season they finished fourth in the league table with ten points in ten games.

At first, Karachi Kings have teamed up with the Pakistan State Oil (PSO). Following this, PSO’s well-known product, Carient Motor Oil has been labelled as the Titanium Partner of the Karachi-based franchise.
Moving ahead, the team extended their partnership with the construction services and investment management company, GFS Builders & Developers. As a result, the company will continue to be the Gold Sponsor & Housing Partner. Both had initially inked an association in season six.
Karachi Kings have signed one of the world’s largest beverage companies, Pepsi as the Official Beverage Partner. While the franchise also extended ties with the supermarket chain, Imtiaz Super Market, labelling the retail chain as the Super Market Partner.
Mughal Steel continues to be the Strength Partner after penning down an extension. While one of the largest snack companies in the world, TUC joined as the Official Snack Partner.
Pakistan’s leading Islamic finance institution, BankIslami continues its partnership with Karachi Kings and will be the team’s Platinum Partner. Furthermore, Urbansole and BonaPapa have also joined hands with the Karachi-based franchise as Official Footwear Partner and Personal Care Partner, respectively.
Lastly, Radio AWAZ and BUZZ FM are roped in as the Official Radio Partner. While EmTen has been signed as the Gamification Partner.
Karachi Kings will play against the defending champions, Multan Sultans in the opening fixture of PSL seven, which is scheduled to take place on January 27.
