PSG likely to accept Real Madrid’s new bid of €180 million for Kylian Mbappe

Despite Al Khelafi’s resolve that Real Madrid was far from PSG’s estimation, the deal was completed.

Real Madrid and PSG have reached an agreement on the transfer saga of Kylian Mbappe, the official statement could be as early as today itself, according to multiple sources.

The complicated deal is finally done. PSG has accepted Real Madrid’s new offer of €180 million for Kylian Mbappe. The announcement could take place today, the French international may be presented in Madrid before joining the French national team.

Despite Al Khelafi’s resolve that Real Madrid was far from PSG’s estimation, the deal was completed. Real Madrid felt confident throughout negotiations given that the player wanted only to join Real Madrid and there was only one year outstanding on his contract.

Florentino Pérez has made it crystal clear to Mbappe that he will become the club’s “franchise” player; Mbappe will become the principal figure. This was a big reason behind the player’s choice to opt for Madrid over the PSG sporting project.

Conferring to Real’s latest accounts history, which was available in July, they claim net assets of 534 million euros and had 122 million euros cash in the bank.

Their total wage bill for last season was 448 million euros, somewhat below the limit of 473.3 million euros set by La Liga.

Subsequently, they have got captain Sergio Ramos’ massive salary off the wage bill and sold Mbappe’s international team-mate Raphael Varane, another high earner to Manchester United for a reported 40 million euros.

They also raised a similar amount from the sale of Martin Odegaard to Arsenal. These businesses have made it clear that Real was obsessed with signing Mbappe.
