PSG confirms signing of Morocco international Achraf Hakimi

As reported by the French media, PSG have paid around 60 million Euros for the right-back Achraf Hakimi.

On Tuesday, Paris-Saint Germain confirmed the signing of Morocco international Achraf Hakimi on a five-year deal, the 22-year-old right-back is one of Europe’s most prosperous talents.

Born in Madrid, Hakimi quickly made it through the Real Madrid youth academy and was sent on a two-year loan to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund on a two-year loan deal, where he tallied seven goals and 14 assists in 54 Bundesliga games which saw him move to Inter Milan in 2020.

Scoring a total of seven goals and 10 assists, Hakimi helped Inter Milan win the much sought-after Serie-A title and ended Juventus’s dominant run in the Italian league.

As reported by the French media, PSG have paid around 60 million Euros for Hakimi and the right-back will surely bolster their defence as they start a new season with the aim to win the Ligue 1 and potentially go all the way in the Champions League as well.

PSG are also in the market for a centre back and have reportedly signed Real Madrid and Spanish Legend Sergio Ramos along with the Italian Goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donarumma.

The signings will surely help PSG do well in the Champions League with the likes of Neymar and Mbappe already in their squad. Hakimi passed his medical with an offer that is worth over 60 Million euros with three million euros add ons.

Further, it is expected that Joao Mario and Radja Nainggolan are also leaving the club, Inter Milan will possibly be active in this year’s transfer market.
