The Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have announced a multi-year partnership with the on-demand grocery delivery service, Gorillas. However, the value of the partnership was not revealed, but PSG have announced Gorillas as their grocery delivery partner.
PSG have released a video on their Twitter handle, where a person orders grocery through Gorillas and a delivery boy delivers it on his door later, but at last PSG midfielder, Marco Verrati gave an appearance, handing a PSG jersey to the fan. Apart from this, the partnership between both these entities will be kicked off at the iconic Parc des Princes on 20th November, as PSG will host FC Nantes in a Ligue 1 fixture.
As the fastest growing players in their respective fields, Paris Sain-Germain and Gorillas have a strong brand synergy and a common ambition to offer the best experience to their fans and their communities around the world, mentioned by the grocery brand in their statement released.
This is the first global sport sponsorship for Gorillas, as it looks to strengthen its foot in Europe, while Paris Saint-Germain’s huge fan base would be helping in promoting the brand across all their platforms. The branding of Gorillas from now will be present at Parc des Princes all the year, and it will also be producing engaging content with the PSG players, time to time.
Speaking on the occasion, Marc Armstrong, Chief Partnerships Officer at Paris Saint-Germain, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gorillas to the Paris Saint-Germain family. Both our brands have developed a strong lifestyle footprint with the aim to make positive changes in the lives of our crew and audiences. We are looking forward to meeting the Gorillas riders community and innovate together at a fast pace.”
Adding to it, Ugur Samut, Chairman of the Board at Gorillas said: “It is a great honor for our first global sport sponsorship to support one of the most successful football teams in Europe with whom we share many key values such as boldness, authenticity and team spirit. Gorillas’ brand DNA is at the intersection of sport and lifestyle, making this partnership with a true love brand like Paris Saint-Germain an incredible fit.”
Paris Siant-Germain currently sits comfortably at the top of the Ligue 1 table, collecting 34 points from their last 13 matches. Moving forward, the Ligue 1 giants have a tough fixture against Manchester City on 25th November, in the Champions League.
