The most awaited football competition, Premier League (PL) 2022-23 season commenced at Selhurst Park in London on August 5 where Crystal Palace welcomed Arsenal. The visitors won the game 2-0, kicking off what we believe will be the biggest football party of the year.
As fans eagerly waited for the season to begin, it was the same for the sponsors of the tournament. As the FIFA World Cup 2022 will be held in the middle of the season, the competition began earlier than usual which has given sponsors a much-needed time to gain exposure and mark their presence.
For the 2022/23 season, the existing sponsors have renewed their deals and will receive exposure throughout the ongoing edition of the English top flight. Below is the list of sponsors that are associated with the Premier League for the current season:
The Premier League has inked a deal with the topmost game developers, Electronic Arts (EA) Sports as the lead sponsor for the tournament. Both entities signed the association back in 2016. The agreement calls for EA Sports’ logo to appear on all of the league’s global broadcasts, as well as sponsorship of the official Player of the Month and Season accolades and EA Sports incorporation in stadia pre-match.
In this category, the PL has joined forces with the global sportswear branding and labelling company, Avery Dennison. The firm supplies all Premier League names, numbers, and sleeve badges to the 20 clubs. Recently in March, the company extended its partnership until 2025. Along with Avery Dennison, the league also has Panini as the licensee partner.
As an official bank partner, the competition has roped in Barclays. The two organizations have been partners for almost 20 years now as they first signed the dotted line in 2001. Recently in December, both entities signed a partnership renewal deal until the end of the 2024/25 season.
For the biggest football league in the world, the company which delivers and produces football for 360 games is a well-known brand. Nike is the ball partner for the league and has been affiliated with the competition since 2000.
The English top flight has also been associated with a few more brands in different categories such as; Budweiser as a beer partner, Castrol as the official engine oil partner, and Hublot as the official timekeeper.
Every weekend, the Premier League draws massive viewership throughout the globe including the Indian sub-continent. Apart from being one of the elite football leagues in the world, the competition also has timings better than any other European football competition. Premier League features several renowned strikers, such as Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez. Not to mention Cristiano Ronaldo, who will wear the Red Devils’ jersey once more. The sponsors will undoubtedly benefit when the entire world halts to embrace the Beautiful Game in the premium European league.
