Poker Sports League announces Voot as official streaming partner

This season will feature 36 qualifiers and 12 professional players.

Poker Sports League Season 4, which is powered by FairPlay News has announced that they have signed a partnership with an OTT streaming platform, Voot as its official streaming partner.

This year’s league is in Phygital format, and streaming has already begun on March 29, 2022. Viewers can watch the entire league live on Voot, thanks to this partnership.

This season, a special emphasis was placed on upcoming qualifiers as well as key pro-players, with high investment biddings and significant retainers making this season even more exciting. Six teams representing six different Indian provinces competed in the season’s selection ceremony, including Delhi Czars, Deccan Aces, Goan Nuts, Gujarat Falcons, Mumbai Anchors, and Kolkata Kings. This season will feature 36 qualifiers and 12 professional players. It also has six spots for women and six spots for substitutes.

Pranav Bagai, CEO and Founder, said, “We are thrilled to partner again this year with VOOT for our upcoming season. As our majority of the audience is tech-savvy and shifting towards OTT platforms to consume various modes of entertainment, partnering with VOOT for streaming was a prudent option. Through this association, we endeavour to provide our users with the finest experience of poker possible.

“Given the substantial shift in content consumption to digital platforms in India and the dynamicity of the Indian online poker industry, we decided to reach a wider audience and encourage them to play every season. Our partnership with VOOT will screen an exclusive behind-the-scenes reality show “Poker Mantra”

Chanpreet Arora, Head – AVOD (Voot), Viacom18 Digital Ventures, said, “At Voot, we strive to ink partnerships that add value to our platform, and we are thrilled to once again partner with Poker Sports League. Through this partnership, Voot’s appeal to the young audiences will create a strong fan base for Poker in India and will provide us with an opportunity to captivate poker enthusiasts and provide them with a rewarding experience.”

PSL Season 4 began on March 29 and will continue until April 13, with 6-7 matches per week, all of which will be streamed virtually on Voot. The venue partners and online partners have been announced as Deltin Royale and Adda 52, respectively. The season finale will be broadcast live on-ground from April 20 to April 24, 2022, for the first time since the pandemic.
