PKL 8 Sponsors Watch: Haryana Steelers

Last season, the Steelers again secured a spot in the playoffs stage but fell short against U Mumba in the eliminator.

Haryana Steelers is a professional kabaddi team based in Panchkula, Haryana that features in the Pro Kabaddi League. The Haryana-based franchise made its debut in PKL back in the year 2017 alongside Gujarat GiantsTamil Thalaivas, and UP Yoddha. The Steelers is owned by JSW Sports, which is a sports arm of the JSW Group and the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula is their home venue.

In their first-ever season, Haryana Steelers showed a tremendous performance as they reached the playoffs stage. The team had a downfall in the following season after finishing bottom in the Zone A table. In the last season, the Steelers again secured a spot in the playoffs stage but fell short against U Mumba in the eliminator.

At first, the sports news website, DafaNews has been signed as the Principal sponsor of Haryana Steelers. In this partnership, the Steelers placed the logo of the sports news website at the front of their player jersey.

Moving ahead, Vision11, which is a fantasy sports platform has joined hands with the Haryana-based franchise and has been labelled as the Main Sponsor and one of the sleeve sponsors of the side. Haryana Steelers penned down a partnership extension with Borosil, following which the brand continued to be a Principal Sponsor and Back Sponsor.

Happilo has been roped in as an Associate Sponsor of the Steelers with the brand taking care of the snacking requirements of the team. India’s leading bitcoin and cryptocurrency exchange platform, Zebpay has been onboarded as a Principal Sponsor. Lastly, T10 Sports continues its association with the Steelers as the team’s kit manufacturer.

Haryana Steelers will be facing UP Yoddha in their next PKL fixture on January 12 at 7:30 PM IST. The Steelers is currently sitting seventh in the league table, collecting 20 points from the last seven league games.
