UP Yoddhas, the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) franchise owned by GMR Group, have unveiled a revamped sponsorship lineup ahead of Season 12.

Leading non-banking financial company Hero FinCorp has come on board as the principal sponsor, while Ofis Square and Selec Controls join as associate partners.

As part of the agreement, Hero FinCorp’s branding will feature across team jerseys and marquee marketing assets, ensuring strong visibility throughout the season. The partnership signals the NBFC’s deepening investment in India’s expanding sports sponsorship ecosystem.

Commenting on the occasion, Satyam Trivedi, CEO, GMR Sports, said, “We are delighted to welcome Hero FinCorp as our Principal Sponsor. We share a mutual vision and energy which align with our aspirations for the upcoming seasons. Together, we aim to give our fans many moments to cheer for both on and off the mat.”

Priya Kashyap, Chief of Staff, Hero FinCorp, added, “This association with UP Yoddhas as Principal Sponsor is an extension of our shared values and vision. Kabaddi represents grit and teamwork; values that resonate with us at Hero FinCorp. Our partnership with the Yoddhas is not just about supporting a team, but also about celebrating a sport that embodies Bharat’s spirit. As Bharat ka digital lender this association represents our commitment to the nation’s progress. We look forward to an exciting season.”

Workspace solutions provider Ofis Square and automation specialist Selec Controls will also leverage the PKL platform to widen their consumer reach, tapping into the league’s vast and diverse fan base.

Satyam Trivedi, CEO, GMR Sports, said, “We are pleased to collaborate with Ofis Square as our Associate Partner for UP Yoddhas. It is exciting to see how we share the same values of innovation, performance, and teamwork. This partnership strengthens our vision of creating deeper connections with fans and communities, while bringing together two brands that believe in pushing boundaries and delivering excellence.”

Saroj Mittal, Founder, Ofis Square, said, “At Ofis Square, we believe talent needs the right platform to shine—whether in the workplace or on the sports field. Through this partnership, we aim to encourage India’s youth to embrace ambition, teamwork, and perseverance, the very values that define kabaddi. This association reflects our commitment to investing in India’s homegrown sporting economy and inspiring the next generation to dream big.”

The new partners join playR, the team’s official kit supplier, and Anthlete Nutrition, the official nutrition partner, further solidifying a diverse sponsorship roster.

The announcement reflects a broader trend in the Pro Kabaddi League, where franchises are increasingly attracting sponsors from varied sectors. With PKL now the second-most watched sports league in India after the IPL, brands view kabaddi as a high-impact platform for visibility, regional penetration, and consumer engagement.

On the sporting front, UP Yoddhas head into Season 12 with a balanced squad. Defensive pillars Sumit, Ashu Singh, and Iranian powerhouse Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi lead the backline, while Surender Gill and auction recruit Guman Singh will spearhead the attack. The addition of South Korean raider Dong Geon Lee further bolsters the roster.

Under the guidance of head coach Jasveer Singh, the Yoddhas open their campaign on 30 August 2025 against Telugu Titans in Visakhapatnam, aiming to match their off-field commercial gains with on-field success.
