As the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) enters its 12th season, U Mumba have unveiled a slate of partnerships and initiatives aimed at enhancing both their performance on the mat and their brand presence off it.
The Mumbai-based franchise is positioning Season 12 as a blend of athletic resilience, commercial strength, and nostalgic pride.
The team announced Flamingo Health as its newest partner, underscoring a commitment to sports science and player care. Launched under the campaign line “From recovery to performance, they’ve got our back,” the tie-up ensures that athlete wellness is front and center in one of India’s most physically demanding leagues.
In another boost, AGL Tiles returns as a partner, unveiling its tagline: “The game gets tougher, our base gets stronger.” The deal signals the franchise’s intent to build long-term resilience, both through infrastructure and brand alliances.
Both Flamingo Health and AGL will enjoy visibility across jerseys and digital platforms, amplifying their connection with kabaddi’s growing fan base.
The franchise has also renewed its association with Prayag and brought RiteBite Max Protein on board. Together, these deals extend U Mumba’s sponsor portfolio into wellness, nutrition, and lifestyle, key pillars of modern sport.
In a nod to its championship legacy, U Mumba unveiled a retro-themed jersey inspired by the team’s 2015 title-winning season. The aesthetic is paired with a refreshed roster that mixes veteran strength with headline-grabbing signings.
Head Coach Anil Chaprana, who steered the team to the playoffs in Season 11, returns at the helm. Retained stalwarts include captain Sunil Kumar, raiders Ajit Chouhan and Satish Kannan, and defenders Parvesh Bhainswal, Deepak Kundu, Lokesh Ghosliya, and Amir Mohammad Zafardanesh. The biggest statement came at the auction table, where U Mumba signed all-rounder Aanil Mohan for ₹78 lakh, the highest-ever fee commanded by a Category D player.
With its season opener against Gujarat Giants on August 30, the team from Mumbai steps into PKL 12 armed with a strong core, record signings, and a sponsor ecosystem aligned with recovery, nutrition, and performance.
