India’s leading premium streaming platform, JioStar, has launched a high-octane campaign for Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12, featuring Indian cricket star KL Rahul as the face of Bengaluru Bulls.

The campaign film, titled “Ghus Kar Maarenge”, blends regional authenticity with national appeal, signaling a powerful new era for the franchise.

Conceptualised by creative agency ZeroFifty, the campaign captures the aggression, energy, and confidence that define kabaddi. In the Kannada-language film, Rahul drives through the Karnataka countryside with friends before confronting a raging bull blocking their path. While his companions panic, Rahul calmly identifies it as a “Bengaluru Bull,” embodying the team’s fearless and uncompromising spirit.

This is the third campaign film produced for the franchise. The earlier two featured Rana Daggubati and Tiger Shroff, each bringing their own charisma and fan base into the kabaddi fold. With Rahul now fronting the latest chapter, JioStar is expanding its roster of cross-sport and cross-entertainment icons to amplify the Bengaluru Bulls’ cultural reach.

A JioStar spokesperson explained the creative choice and said, “The campaign underscores the aggression and thrill quotient that fans can expect this season. With refreshing changes coming in, we had to depict how it will influence the approach of players. KL Rahul was the perfect match to bring that out with his subtlety and inimitable demeanour. His personality and connection with fans make him the ideal face for this iteration of the campaign.”

KL Rahul, who is making his first appearance in a kabaddi-focused promotion, highlighted the sport’s intensity and added, “Kabaddi is a sport where every moment counts, and every move demands intent. The aggression, the pace, and the raw energy on the mat are what make it so thrilling—not just for players, but for everyone watching. I’ve always admired the fearlessness and commitment kabaddi players bring to every raid and tackle. It’s a game that resonates with me because it’s about backing yourself completely, no matter the challenge in front of you.”

The campaign deliberately balances subtle aggression with composure, mirroring Rahul’s understated persona while reinforcing the Bulls’ brand identity. Its use of the Kannada language and local cultural cues ensures resonance with regional fans, while Rahul’s star power broadens its national reach.

The “Ghus Kar Maarenge” campaign will roll out across television and digital platforms. PKL Season 12 begins on August 29, 2025, with a southern derby clash between Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas, live on JioHotstar and Star Sports.
