The Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia and FIFA have announced a landmark partnership, naming PIF as an official partner of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
This collaboration marks a significant step for both organizations, solidifying PIF’s growing influence in global sports and highlighting a shared commitment to advancing football worldwide.
The inaugural 32-team FIFA Club World Cup is set to captivate audiences across the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025. This expanded tournament will bring together the world’s elite club football teams for a month-long spectacle across 12 stadiums in 11 U.S. host cities.
This strategic alliance goes beyond sponsorship, underscoring a mutual vision to elevate global sports participation, foster innovation within the football ecosystem, and deeply engage fans across continents. A key focus of the partnership is its emphasis on youth, aiming to inspire the next generation of football enthusiasts and players through FIFA‘s grassroots initiatives and by creating new pathways within the sport.
Romy Gai, Chief Business Officer at FIFA, said, “We are delighted to welcome PIF as a partner of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™. Together, we look forward to delivering a historic tournament that inspires and unites fans from around the world. The partners of the first-ever 32-team FIFA Club World Cup believe in our vision to make football truly global. Their support of the tournament will not only be integral to its success but will underpin investment in supporting the development of club football everywhere.”
Mohammed AlSayyad, Head of Corporate Brand at PIF, added, “PIF is creating a legacy of transformative impact in sports including through its partnerships, delivering positive and lasting results at every level, from players and fans to host communities. PIF is at the forefront of growing football around the world following our Concacaf partnership announced last year and our continued investment in football. We are unlocking opportunities to drive the growth of the sport around the world.”
This partnership further solidifies PIF’s expanding presence in the international sports arena and deepens the strategic ties between FIFA and Saudi Arabia, especially following the Kingdom’s successful bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2034. Notably, PIF also holds a majority stake in Saudi club Al-Hilal, one of the 32 esteemed teams poised to participate in the upcoming tournament.
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 heralds a new era for club football on the global stage, promising an unparalleled display of talent and competition. PIF joins an esteemed roster of international brands, including Lenovo, Motorola, Taittinger, Visa, Coca-Cola, Bank of America, AB InBev, and Hisense, underscoring the strong commercial interest in this groundbreaking event.
