PGA of Australia announces Crossbet as wagering partner

The deal between CrossBet and the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia is set to begin from December 9.

PGA of Australia has signed a new contract with Australian-owned and operated CrossBet in a multi-year deal as a wagering partner. 

The brand will become a year-round partner of the PGA and PGA Tour of Australasia and will use digital assets, tournaments and content as well as the ‘CrossBet Champions Lounge’ which will be a hallmark of the Australian PGA and WPGA Championships. The tournament is going to be held at Brisbane’s Royal Queensland Golf Club from January 13 to 16.

Michael McDonald, Commercial Director of the PGA, said, “We are excited to welcome CrossBet to the PGA family and see this new partnership feature at many events across the upcoming 2021-22 summer of golf.”

“CrossBet has built a brilliant platform that focuses on delivering a world-class customer experience to sports fans around Australia and we are looking forward to working with them to showcase this to Australian Golf fans,” he added.

About the deal, Scott Cross, Chief Executive Officer of CrossBet, mentioned how excited he is along with the company to partner with the PGA and the Tour.

“Many of the CrossBet team and our customers are avid golfers and we are very excited to partner with a sport we love and grew up with,” Cross said

The characteristics of the Australian PGA and WPGA Championships is the TaylorMade Party Hole sector as this will have the CrossBet Champions Lounge, which is well-known for its party atmosphere and resident DJ, a place unlike anything else in Australian golf.

The deal between CrossBet and the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia is set to begin at the Victorian PGA at Moonah Links from December 9.
