PCB, Fox Sports join hands to broadcast events in Australia

In this agreement, PCB aims to target the 2.4 million users of Foxtel Group.

The governing body of cricket in Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has joined hands with the prominent media network, Fox Sports to deliver exclusive coverage of its events in Australia. By this collaboration, Fox Sports will gain the media rights of the major cricket tournaments hosted by PCB till April 2023.

Through this association, Fox Sports would live telecast the upcoming thrilling tournament that is the HBL Pakistan Super League 7. Home fixtures of the Pakistan cricket team will also be aired through Fox Sports’ notable streaming services, Foxtel and Kayo Sports, in Australia. In this agreement, PCB aims to target the 2.4 million users of Foxtel Group.

The board has signed numerous broadcasting deals with the local networks to cover different zones for global coverage such as Etisalat (Middle-East and North Africa), Flow Sports (Caribbean), Sky NZ (New Zealand), Sky Sports (United Kingdom), Sony (South Asia outside Pakistan), Super Sports (Sub-Saharan Africa) and Willow TV (North America). In addition to this, the organization has also roped in associations with OTT services like ICC.tv and tapmad TV to air the elite tournaments held in Pakistan outside the national boundaries.

PCB has some exciting fixtures ahead in its country like PSL 7 starting from Thursday, January 27, 2022, and the Australia tour of Pakistan that would commence on March 3, 2022.
