Patrick Bamford signs a new contract with Leeds United

The striker joined Leeds United from Middlesbrough in 2018 and has so far featured in 111 games.

English striker Patrick Bamford has signed a new contract with the English Premier League club Leeds United which will keep him at the club till 2026. Recently two more players Stuart Dallas and Illan Meslier have also committed their future to Leeds United.

Leeds United are delighted to announce Patrick Bamford has signed a new contract with the club.The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a new five-year-deal, keeping him at Elland Road until the summer of 2026,” said the club in an official statement.

Bamford had an impressive season last year and scored 17 goals in the Premier League for Marcelo Bielsa’s men. Moreover, he was also given a call for Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the UEFA Euros but narrowly missed out on the final list.

The striker joined Leeds United from Middlesbrough in 2018 and has so far featured in 111 games finding the back of the net 43 times. He will be featuring in the match against Everton at Elland Road this weekend.

There’s not been many times in my career that I’ve been as settled as I am now,” Patrick Bamford said. “It was important for me to get this tied down.”

Leeds United succumbed to a humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester United at Old Trafford on opening day. They will be looking to bounce back against Everton this weekend. 

It’s not probable that any more signings will be made,” said Marcelo Bielsa during a press conference. “I’m comfortable with the players I can count on at the moment. It’s the same group as last year with the substitution of Firpo in for Alioski.”
